The MPL range is Traction Direct's family of professional battery chargers — purpose-built for the workshop floor, the dealership bay and the mobile technician's van. Every unit shares the same multi-stage charge algorithm, the same UK-sourced electronics and the same hand-built quality control. They differ only in output: ten amps for portable bench work, fifty amps for fast turnaround, and fifty amps with lithium aboard for the EV-ready workshop.
We were the first manufacturer to correctly charge calcium / calcium and calcium / silver lead-acid batteries, and we are still the appointed OEM for Ford, Jaguar, Land Rover, Nissan and Volvo battery support. BSU2-125 provides a selectable stable voltage and up to 125A of fully regulated power to prevent loss of battery charge and damage to vehicle components.
BSU2-125 can be used with any 12v automotive battery.
When the battery is charged the BSU is a regulated power supply to sustain accessory loads and offset parasitic drain.
Can be used in the showroom to maintain the battery charge while power consuming accessories are being demonstrated without fear of power loss.
Reverse polarity protection.

BSU2-50 provides a stable voltage and up to 50 amps (dependent on model) of fully regulated power to prevent loss of charge and damage to the battery.
BSU2-50 can be used with any 12V automotive battery including AGM, GEL and lithium.
When the battery is charged the BSU is a regulated power supply to sustain accessory loads and offset parasitic drain.
Designed for use in the workshop and compatible with most diagnostic trolleys.

Contactor reset for lithium batteries.
Supplied with IEC power lead and 5m output leads.

BSU2-90 provides a constant voltage to prevent loss of data and possible damage to control units during software updates, and module reprogramming as well as diagnostic processes when in a Key On, Engine Off state.
During diagnostic or programming operations, the vehicle’s systems are operating solely from the battery. Maintaining battery charge during this process is critical.
The status of BSU2-90 is indicated simply by three LED’s – POWER, POLARITY, DEMAND. When all 3 are illuminated, BSU2-90 is supporting the battery.
Designed to be wall, ramp or trolley mounted the BSU2-90 has been designed to meet the needs of the high power consuming vehicle.
