TRACTION WARRANTY INFORMATION

1. Our Warranty

Traction Direct provides a voluntary "Return to Base" (RTB) warranty for the original purchaser of our products. This commercial warranty is in addition to, and does not affect, the statutory rights to which consumers are entitled under applicable law.

We keep our sales prices as low as possible by not adding potential warranty costs into our product prices. This ensures you get great value without paying extra for cover you might never need.

This warranty applies only to products purchased directly from Traction Direct or an authorised distributor and returned to the service centre in the country where they were originally purchased.

2. Warranty period

This warranty is valid for 12 months from the date of the original purchase.

If a product or component is replaced under warranty, the replacement will carry the remaining balance of the original warranty period — it does not restart a new 12-month term.

3. What this warranty covers

This warranty covers defects in materials or workmanship under normal use during the warranty period. During this period, Traction Direct will, at its sole discretion, repair or replace the product or parts of the product that prove defective.

In certain cases, and at the company’s discretion, a refund may be offered within 28 days of the original purchase date if a product fault is confirmed.

4. How to make a warranty claim

Notify us: If you believe your product is faulty, please contact our customer service team at Traction Direct (sales@traction-direct.com) to obtain a Return Merchandise Authorisation (RMA) number.

Provide proof of purchase: You will need to supply proof of purchase (for example, an email receipt or card statement) when submitting your RMA request.

Return the product: Once an RMA number has been issued, return the product to our designated service centre at:
Unit 4, Roundway Hill Business Centre, Devizes, SN10 2LT.
You are responsible for all costs associated with shipping the product back to the UK.

Complete a customs declaration: You are responsible for completing all necessary customs documentation for the return shipment. It is essential to clearly mark the package as "WARRANTY RETURN—NO COMMERCIAL VALUE" to avoid unnecessary customs charges upon re-importation to the UK. Any customs charges incurred due to incorrect or incomplete paperwork will be your responsibility.

Cover customs duties: As the importer in your country, you are liable for any customs duties, taxes, or clearance fees levied by your local authorities on the return of the repaired or replacement product.

5. What this warranty does not cover

This warranty does not cover any issue caused by:

  • Normal wear and tear

  • Conditions, malfunctions, or damage not resulting from defects in material or workmanship

  • Damage from improper installation, maintenance, or repair not performed by Traction Direct

  • Misuse, abuse, negligence, or accident

  • Moisture, liquids, or exposure to excessive heat

  • Hardware opened or repaired by someone not authorised by Traction Direct

6. Limitation of liability

Our liability for a defective product is limited to the repair or replacement of the product. Traction Direct is not responsible for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the use of the product.

7. Your consumer rights

Your local consumer laws may provide you with rights in addition to those offered by this commercial warranty. This warranty does not replace or modify any statutory rights and protections afforded to you under the laws of your country.

For UK customers, your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 remain fully protected.
For EU customers, this includes a minimum two-year guarantee for faulty goods.

These statutory rights are not affected by the terms of this warranty.
